In recent years Katherine Rutecki (New York, USA) and Luke Jacomb (Auckland, New Zealand) have respectively risen to the forefront of the international studio glass movement. Their reputation is already firmly established in the United States and they are both represented in significant private and public collections, including the Ebeltoff Glass Museum (Denmark), Corning Museum of Glass (New York, USA) and the New Orleans Museum of Art (Louisiana, USA).
Currently based in Avondale, Auckland, New Zealand, in 2006 they introduced Lukeke Design through which they collaborate to produce an affordable range
of handmade cast and blown glass works.
Five birds are featured including Swallow, Silvereye, Fantail, Bellbird and Kingfisher each available in a myriad of colours.
