Roche Bobois is a story of two families, the Roches and the Chouchans.
The Roches purchased the old Alexandre Dumas theater on rue de Lyon and created their Parisian showroom.
At this time, the Chouchans were selling furniture in Russia. Until the day, they emigrated in France and created their store in Paris on Boulevard Sébastopol at "Au Beau Bois" (which later became Bobois).
From this union of these 2 families in 1960, the Roche Bobois brand was born and has now grown to become a worldwide corporate and franchising network.
Since the beginning, Roche Bobois collaborates with world-class designers such as Hans Hopfer, the French designers Pierre Paulin and Marc Berthier, and most recently, with some iconic designers such as Vladimir Kagan (Comète) or Paola Navone (Ping Pong) who created outstanding collections for the brand.
