In Kirchberg in the Toggenburg 1886 the upholsterer master opened Gottlieb Strässle after long study and moving years an upholstery pad and car construction industry. Its son, ho had been formed in Nice as interior decorator, took over the paternal business in 1929. In the same year already, he showed his first contemporary collection of upholstered furniture at the Swiss sample fair in Basel.
