Frank Gehry "Hat Trick" chair.
In 1989 when Knoll approached Gehry to design a chair he reportedly said that he would only do so if Knoll set him up in a workshop similar to that of Charles and Ray Eames which he had visited in his youth. Two years after receiving the Pritzker prize for architecture the designer released the Gehry collection for Knoll which has since been captured in the book titled "Frank Gehry: New Bentwood Designs".
