Basic material with complex form. Coloured finish suitable for outdoor use.
Grid 55 is a wire mesh chair prototyped in 1955 by Prof. Czesław Knothe and is the first of his designs to be brought back into production by VZOR. As in the case of the Roman Modzelewski collection by VZOR, it is based on the same rules and values. Lack of materials typical of socialist Poland, forced Knothe to experiment with wire mesh which was widely available. As a result he created an armchair with an unusually light form. Although the famous wire Diamond chair by Harry Bertoia had become known to the world three years earlier, Knothe’s design was considered as very innovative and extremely comfortable for 1955.
Seat and legs : steel rod, available in Black, White, teal, Orange, Grey, Yellow and Red as well as a satin or chrome finish.
